i think the one guy at the gas station in the toys r us parking on 35 thinks im the devil or something he always gives me the most menacing looks when i go there.
also im pretty sure everyone working at the A & P grocery store in Holmdel on 35 at thinks that nicci and i are huge stoners because we always go in late at night and buy the most random combinations of foods ever.

is it odd that my ideal vaction right now would be to take two weeks off from work travel with my musical & recording equipment to a location that all my friends i havent seen in along time were going to be with their equipment too and we just set up shop and work on writing and recording music unbothered for the whole time? i need to write and work with a certain group of people because i know "they get it" and shit is just so easy i wouldnt be spending almost six months getting only 4 songs written that im only 1/4 proud of, but again it has also been almost two years since we've even all played in the same room together, and we hardly talk anymore, but in the back of my mind i always have some hope that one day it could happen. |

i feel like im back in school because of my wierd sleep schedule as of the last two days i passed out watching tv last night around 830pm-ish and slept until 12:30am, then i tried going to bed around 2am but i couldnt so i ended up watching jerry mcquire because ive never seen the whole movie, after that i started watching the spend a night with saddle creek documentary, next thing you know its 6am so i go to sleep just to wake up for 730am so i can be at work at 8am! i wasnt tired at work, i came home and sat around for alittle bit then passed out from like 6 to 9 again. i didnt do anything tonight because i was supposed to go to princeton with britten to hit up the princeton music exchange, then when i couldnt get a hold of him (word on the street is he had a date tonight) i thought of maybe going to vintage vinyl but i just didnt feel like it so im here.
ive been listening to the new bright eyes rarites collection for the last two days pretty much nonstop until this very moment. ive also being feeling the need to create music lately it always happens this time of year, im not talking about my okay im going to record some shit only two like one or two tracks of shit i have in my head but never expand on, im actually writing parts and programming and getting it all down and piecing it together which makes me feel pretty happy, but ive been doing it around everyones schedule so i have the stuff blaring when no one is home so i have stuff i want to complete and start but havent gotten around to it. |

i was thinking today that i want to grow a beard for the winter then it dawned on me that i wouldve had to start growing it like a month ago because my facial hair does not grow very well hahaha, AND the fact that nicci hates it so much, so that plan was scrapped.
a few minutes ago i bought two things from ebay i got Pageninetynines Document #6 & #13 im pretty pumped now all i need is documents #1 & #2 as well as #5 on LP.
holiday season is coming up ill be working six days a week soon and im going to need to start making a list of what im getting everyone for christmas woooo!!!!

i wake up at like 9am get my gear packed up and head over to marks so im there at like 1045 we go a pick up and phil and head to asbury park we get there around noon, upon arrival nicky g let us know that our set time had moved from 440pm to 310pm which we were all completely fine with. so mark, phil and i head to mcdonalds chill there for a bit, then we come back and nicky g laid it on us that the fucking promoters switched us from our 310pm spot to 10pm after the national acts we all agreed fuck it we're not playing called dan and told him to not even waste his gas driving out there. so since i rode down with mark i was stuck there because he wanted to stay for shai hulud who were going to go on at 8pm (but really didnt go on until 930pm), so i spent most of my day drinking a sprite in a gay bar down from the stone pony while mark drank $2 drafts, but here's the BEST part 310pm rolls around and no one is going on the stage and the dude making sure all the times were followed is like WHY ARENT YOU GUYS SETTING UP and told them that you assholes told us we were switched so we told our drummer to not even come and as of right now he's 40min away. so then a few minutes later the guy comes up and apologizes to me and then says hey you guys can still play we have a spot open at like 1030 and i told him no we're not playing after we've been here ALL FUCKING DAY and we were DICKED OUT of our orginial spot! so im not even sure if we will have a last show its very doubtful! |

for tropical depressions!!! britten and i tried going to vintage vinyl but route 35 was washed out in a few places, i should be on my way to play a show at CBGBs but it ended up not happening because after two weeks of getting on mark to get the details he failed, but im pretty sure its just because he would much rather go to rowan and drink with his old college friends so whatever, that is why the band is going to be broken up in the not so distant future.
now im off to the grocery store to find something to cook up for diner for me and the nicciface. |

so things started off nice on friday slow day at work end up spending my last 3hrs there in a meeting which is a nice change from always being on the sales floor and i also picked up and extra hour. i then went and cashed my paycheck drove out to woodbridge to hit up vintage vinyl since i havent been there in awhile i picked up: Fatih No More - Angel Dust, Genghis Tron - Cloak of Love, Daughters - Hell Songs, Sparrows Swarm + Sing - O'Shendoah...... then i met up with nicci at her work followed her around the mall for alittle bit then we went over to The Cheesecake Factory and had diner, we had really good avocado rolls, i had probably the best turkey burger ive had in along time. we drove home where i proceeded to pass out for 845pm until 1030am saturday.
saturday i wake up get to see nicci for alittle bit before she leaves for work, do some more laying around, then i went and picked britten up we returned to vintage vinyl and pete yorn was their doing an instore performance and signing we didnt bother with any of that though he was good we werent there for him, we dove into the used cd section i picked up a Hundred Year Storm album that doesnt come out until august 22nd and the very first Filter CD, i passed up an advanced copy of Happy Hollow by Cursive because it was a promo copy didnt come with the full cover art so i can wait, britten finally picked up the album Kid Dakota hes been passing up for 7months now because he knew nothing of it but today he bought it (and throughout the day while driving we listened with wide smiles for how amazing the album is) we then left and went to the best buy over there but left without buying anything, we then met up with nicci again for lunch then walked around the mall for a bit, we decided to go to jacks in red bank we searched the used cd section but didnt really come up with anything else, walked around red bank for a bit then went and walked around the burg for awhile came home and waited for nicci to come home.
today is sunday i went to work came home ive listened to some music played some guitar now im just chilling. |

so seriously i never update this thing and i hardly ever read my friends journals and when i do it seems as though none of you update anymore either.
anyways so since my last entry i got my car fixed it was the fuel pump and then when fixing that they needed to replace the fuel sending unit as well so i have my car back it still makes this crazy ticking noise when i step on the gas pedal and sometimes i think its tilting to one side, OH and i have to take it back to get fixed tuesday on my day off because it has a slight gas leak which seems its coming from where all my new parts are, oh and this all cost over $800 thankfully my parents helped out.
so new plan is to get a new car, cuz i got a promotion to a position that doesnt actually exsist within the company only our district, so its like an official unofficial thing though i did get quite a nice raise. so before i start saving up for the new car im going to splurge with my first paycheck with my raise, im not sure if im going to get more of my sleeve done since its been two years since ive worked on it or some recording equipment.
my birthday came and went nicci, mark, matt and i went to hooters and ate some wings on my birthday, a few days before hand i met my sister and parents for diner or maybe it was after i cant remember but it was good seeing them cuz i havent been out to pennsylvania since april-ish mainly because i dont trust my car and gas is way too expensive.
nicci bought me a senniheiser e609 microphone!!!!! its way rad, and i got a new bathing suit which was much needed and used this week due to it being like over a hundred for like 4days in a row.
the band recorded a quick demo, we've played two shows, i had some equipment problems during the last one but i figured it out so its all good. we have another show coming up at the end of August with ED Gein and we're trying to book a mini tour for the end of september.
so i suppose all is going well now. |
